field notes. documents conversations about contemporary performance in and around Ontario. The plan was to have this as a recurring podcast, however just after I recorded the unreleased episode 5, my father died. Understandably, my world was rocked and I lost momentum on this project.

Blue and I have a drink in a pub as we talk about the gender-politics of Rachel Blair’s Fringe hit, “A Man Walks Into a Bar,” playing at the Next Stage Theatre Festival in Toronto. (Jan. 6th – 17th, 2016)


Ep.02 //

Andrew stops by a rehearsal for the [elephants] collective’s new play, A Kitchen Sink Drama, premiering during Week One of the 37th Rhubarb Festival (Feb. 17th – 20th, 2016).


Ep.03 //

Andrew and Claire hit a Queen West café and share delicious baked goods as they talk about Claire’s experiences being part of The Crackwalker by Judith Thompson. The Crackwalker runs until April 10th, 2016 @ Factory Theatre.


Ep.04 //

Helen, Neil and I chat in a park about clowns, flat tires, preconceptions, clown logic and realness. The Reverend Foo Revival Time plays June 8th, 10th & 12th, 2016 at Factory Theatre as part of the Toronto Festival of Clowns.
